shoesonwrong@gmail.comI am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying
I'm 23. I live with my husband and cat in downtown Detroit. We used to have a lovable dog, but she loves the outdoors and hates cities, so she lives with my parents on 8 acres of wooded land in Northern Michigan, now. I'm undergoing a transformation from a rural bumpkin to a city dweller. Tune in for hilarity, muggings, and the occasional stabbing.
I have now graduated with a bachelors degree in mathematics with a minor in political science. My primary mathematical interests lie in number theory and group theory. Calculus and geometry are my own personal hell. What I am going to do with a degree in mathematics? Your guess is as good as mine. Actually, any and all suggestions are welcome, as long as they don't involve me getting naked. In reality, I'll probably end up going to grad school.
Remembering the locations of my car keys, cell phone, and pants is difficult for me, but I can recall Madonna's full name and make witty comments about Britney and Colbert at the drop of a hat. Basically, I'm a pop culture GENIUS, if that's even possible. I play with language a lot. I love to laugh and, even more than that, I love to make people laugh. I am, by turns, both extremely introspective and very extroverted. This tends to result in me crying a fair amount. I worry a lot. I try my very best to be a good friend, but fail sometimes. Sometimes I am amazingly perceptive. Sometimes I am incredibly stupid.
Ryan and I met in 2003. We've been married since June of 2004. I know that's not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but when you're only 22, it feels like a very long time. But in a good way, not in a every-day-is-just-another-box-to-to-check-off-until-I-can-finally-go-ahead-and-die kind of way.
This journal is an amalgamation of recaps of my daily life, funny things I've seen or heard, and things like the music I like. It's mostly just for me, but other people read it too.
If you are not too long, I will wait here for you all my life.
